Generosity
Our Story
From the beginning,
the Church has been
marked by generosity.
In Acts 2:45, believers shared what they had so that no one among them was in need. Their giving was not forced—it flowed from hearts transformed by the love of Christ.
Jesus taught us, “Freely you have received; freely give” (Matthew 10:8), and reminded us that where our treasure is, there our heart will be also (Matthew 6:21). Because God so loved us and gave His Son for us (John 3:16), we respond with grateful, open hands. Our generosity is worship—an expression of love for the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30).
We give because He first gave. We serve because He first served. As Scripture says, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart… for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). Generosity is not just something we do—it is who we are, shaped by the self-giving love of Jesus and poured out for the sake of others.
